By: Biztech2 Staff  |  Aug 02, 2007

Alkraft Thermotechnologies, an auto component manufacturing company from Chennai, has announced that they have chosen SAP Business One, a solution that allows organisations to streamline their entire business with a single product, to manage the growth of its business more efficiently.

Alkraft Thermotechnologies chose SAP to achieve complete accountability of materials within and at sub-contractor locations, increase value addition by using costing module and increase the productivity levels within the organisation. The solution will be implemented by FAST, a Systems Integrator with ERP expertise.

Some of the key challenges faced by Alkraft Thermotechnologies before opting for SAP included Material planning and Accountability, Costing and Designing, Tracking of Quality Assurance and high levels of MIS. Now, the company has leveraged the integration capabilities of SAP Business One to link its various key business functions like Inventory control, Production, Purchasing, Design, Sales Opportunities, Sub-Contracting and Quality Management.

"SAP Business One was a natural choice for us considering its cost effectiveness, reliability, scalability, rapid deployment, and its easy to maintain requiring minimal IT support and user training,” said Basil, MD of Alkraft Thermotechnologies.

Alkraft Thermotechnologies has opted for 25 user licenses of SAP Business One.  FAST is expected to complete the entire implementation across 1 main factory and 4 other locations by mid- October 2007.
