Gridlogics has signed a representation agreement with Minesoft, UK, a patent solutions provider. Since 1996, Minesoft has been developing patent information services and solutions, linking technical, legal, bibliographic and full text patent information for patent professionals and research specialists.
Under the terms of the agreement, Gridlogics will represent Minesoft's patent information and document delivery solutions, PatBase, PatentOrder and PatentArchive in India.
The representation allows Gridlogics to provide complete patent information research and analysis solutions in India and complements Gridlogics existing patent analytics product line: Patent iNSIGHT Pro and VizMAP. Patent information research and analysis market in India has increased tremendously in the last two years with the rapid rise of the Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) service market. Further, with the economy becoming more research and innovation driven, many firms in manufacturing, electronics and IT are increasing their patent awareness and filing rates. Driven by this firm trend, Gridlogics aims to provide a larger range of patent information solutions to this growing market.
"Minesoft's patent database 'PatBase' has been co-developed with RWS Group. PatBase's organisation of patent data as families will make it highly useful for Indian patent professionals, who give equal or more importance to international filings to know in what countries each invention is protected. Many Indian pharmaceutical companies look at international filings for gaps and opportunities and they will be the first to benefit from the family-organised results that PatBase provides," said Manish Sinha, director, Gridlogics.
"The Indian market is a growing and important market for Minesoft, and Gridlogics has been a pioneer in patent analysis solutions here in India with an impressive client base," said Ann Chapman, director, Minesoft. "We are excited and pleased to be working with Gridlogics for representing our line of solutions in India."
