An Indian Gamer's Wishlist

The Indian gaming market is rather small as compared to most nations, and with the amount of video game piracy prevalent here, it’s no surprise that most publishers refuse to even consider India as a lucrative market for their games. Can't blame them since most gamers I know from around here refuse to buy originals, which makes most 'legit' gamers like me suffer. In this feature we'll take a look at some of the stuff that should have reached Indian shores (according to a starry-eyed gamer I call 'me') but didn't... Guitar Hero II (Xbox 360 & PS2) Melting faces with insane guitar riffs wasn’t possible for most of us wannabe musicians with no talent, until Guitar Hero came along. Guitar Hero is the most killer party game franchise to have blessed gamer-kind, since it allows you to make believe you’re a rock-star and play lead guitar for some of the most awesome rock tracks out there. Unfortunately, Guitar Hero 1 didn’t make it to India, and neither did Guitar Hero II for the PlayStation 2. Now that the Xbox 360 is selling pretty well in India, I hope and pray that Microsoft does everything in their power to bring Guitar Hero II for the 360 to us. How hard could it be? I mean they got us Crackdown even before the official U.S. release, so I’m pretty sure that they could get us Guitar Hero II two months after its release. |
