Missed out on all the interesting stuff this week? Don't worry, we got you covered. All you need to know about the 3DS I think this week was perhaps the best week ‘evar’ for our copy editor Sriram, as Nintendo unleashed a torrent of information regarding the 3DS, touching on topics like price, availability and launch line-up. Being the Nintendo “junkie” that he is, Sriram soaked up every ounce of information from Nintendo’s conference and compiled it into a highly informative article. Portal goes Cross-Platform Is the cake a lie or not? It’s no secret that Valve wasn’t the biggest fan of the PS3. However at last year’s E3, it seems they made up with Sony and are now showering them with exclusive content for the PS3. Valve’s upcoming first person platformer, Portal 2 will be going cross-platform which means PC gamers will be able to play with or against their PS3 and Mac counterparts. In addition to this, people who pick up Portal 2 for the PS3 will receive a copy of the game for PCs as well – absolutely free. Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike incoming Can’t get enough of Black Ops MP? You’re in luck as Activision announced the first batch of DLC for their bazillion dollar selling franchise called First Strike. Sadly it’s MP only but on the plus side, it’ll even ship with a co-operative mode. Zombie genocide ftw! Mortal Kombat Webisodes incoming Remember the kick ass Mortal Kombat viral that hit the net a while back? Well that’s now getting the Webisode treatment with full support from Warner Bros. And best of all? It stars Black Dynomite himself. Booyah! Korea goes medieval on young gamers This is what you get for playing Starcraft II Gaming in Korea could be hazardous for your well being, especially if you’re a kid. In what can be described as one of the weirdest things I’ve read in while, South Korea has started military boot camps for young kids to wean them off games. Killzone 3 gets a stellar 9/10 from Polish gaming magazine Fly like an eagle Killzone 3 maybe a few weeks away, but a certain Polish gaming magazine got their grubby little paws on the game and they were positively thrilled with it, awarding it a stellar 9/10 . Players who pick up Killzone 3 may also get a chance to take part in the SOCOM 4 beta as Sony is marking certain game copies with a beta invite. The markings are totally random so it doesn’t matter which edition you pick up. EA kicks off cross promotional activities Dead Space 2 has finally landed in our laps and while we brave creepy necromorphs to churn out our review next week, you could pick up Dead Space from Steam real cheap as part of their Midweek Madness sale. EA is also indulging in a bit of cross marketing as players who pick up Dead Space 2 on any platform will gain access to a very cool Isaac Clarke armor in Dragon Age II. |
