The current generation of gaming hardware has worked wonders for the racing genre, allowing for an extremely riveting experience using all the juice available to push the limit. If you’re a fan of the genre and need to pick up a title for your beloved current gen machine, here are some racers that are sure to satiate the speed demon within... MotorStorm (PS3) MotorStorm placed you in a setting unlike any other – the arid desert of Monument Valley. The game captured desert racing in all its raw beauty, using the power of the PS3’s hardware to render some awe-striking dusty, grungy environments that went extremely well with the tight and unkempt racing mechanics. MotorStorm wasn’t your everyday racer where you’d rely purely on speed and knowledge of the track – this game challenged the best of us by rewarding those who understood not only their ride, but even the terrain. The game’s main draw was its vast selection of vehicles, extending from dirt bikes to buggies to dune trucks, and how each of them handled differently on the different surfaces of each track. For instance, trucks handle well on lower, sturdier terrain, while bikes would be best left to higher ground. So if you’re looking for a truly unique racing experience that’s sure to test your skill, this one could be it! |
