Here's what 2009 has in store for action buffs.

Now that we’ve got the other genres out of the way, it’s time to bring out the big dogs –Action games and shooters. The action game list is pretty humongous so we’ve divided it into multiple parts that we’ll be publishing through the course of the week followed by our shooter list. With that out of the way let’s take a look at what 2009 has in store for action buffs: God of War 3 (PS3) Praise the Gods...Kratos and his perennial rage are back for their final outing on the PS3. As of now we don't have any sort of information on the game but we do know maiming and mutilating Greek mythology on the PS3 is going to be swell. Resident Evil 5 (Xbox 360 PS3) Taking the horror and the action to a remote African village Resident Evil 5 will for the first time allow players to play the entire game in co-op with a friend split-screen or online. In fact if you step this way you could receive some enlightenment via our hands-on preview. Afro Samurai (Xbox 360 PS3) Based on the Western anime of the same name, Afro Samurai the game will put players in the boots of well, Afro Samurai (played by Samuel L. Jackson) as he traverses feudal Japan searching for the man that brutally murdered his father. Expect cel-shaded visuals, an annoying (imaginary?) side kick (Ninja Ninja) and tons of wanton violence as Afro slices and dices the f**k out of foolish people who dare cross his path. I wonder what the Big Mac was called in feudal Japan. |
