Wii Games We'd Like to See on the PS3 Move

Because why should Nintendo have all the fun?

Wii Games We'd Like to See on the PS3 Move

Motion-controls in gaming - unwarranted gimmick or untapped goldmine? Whatever your answer may be, big boys Microsoft and Sony have already made up their minds. While Nintendo has been hogging the spotlight during their casual gamer initiative, it's finally up to the other console makers, who have gracefully served the hardcore audience for quite a while, to get in some of that action.

Sony's PlayStation Move looks to borrow the best from both competitors, offering tactile feedback through two Wii Remote-like controllers, as well immersing the player's appearance through the PS Eye camera. Sony has garnered the support of over 35 companies, one in particular which has already started bringing certain Wii-only franchises to the mix. Which got us thinking, what's stopping other publishers/developers in bringing over their works to the Move? Whether it's a remake, an enhanced port plopped on the Playstation Network, or a full-blown sequel - there are a handful of Wii games that would fit right at home with Sony's platform. Here are a couple that we think should make the cut.

Grand Slam Tennis

You don't have to be Captain Obvious to know that EA has been ecstatic in bringing their full-range of motion-controller titles to the Move. EA Sports Active, Tiger Woods, and even that one Lord of the Rings game that stars a cartoon-y Aragorn. These are interesting choices, but the lack of Grand Slam Tennis is suspect. It's the best Wii tennis game to feature not only MotionPlus precision, but also a bevy of modes and options to mess around in.

Boom Blox

In collaboration with EA and renowned film director Steven Spielberg, Boom Blox is a physics-based puzzler revolving around various objects thrown into a stack of blocks, or keeping them intact for a particular amount of time (think Jenga). It's dangerously addictive, and has already been hinted by the developers that a port is definitely being considered. The prospect of headtracking, a feature that was originally going to be in the Wii version, may now seem a lot more likely thanks to the PS Eye.

LostWinds

One of the first WiiWare launch titles LostWinds, is a side-scrolling platformer that utilizes wind directions controlled by the Wii Remote to solve puzzles and grant your character Toku some levitation. The first game and its sequel, Winter of the Melodias, met with high criticism for its unique play-style and endearing artwork. Having both titles packaged for a PSN release would be pretty fantastic by our count.

MadWorld

Before we got to witness Bayonetta's freakishly long legs, Platinum Games' first console game was an ultra-violent beat em' up set in a near color-less backdrop right out of the Sin City comics. MadWorld had players use the Wii Remote to dismember baddies with special finishers that prompted a specific waggle motion (not too unlike No More Heroes). Bashing enemies with environmental objects, or even with the environment itself, was a blast – though, some of us wish that the pacing was better.
