5 Oddball iPod Docks

Here are 5 weird iPod dock stations.

The iPod represents the technology of today. It’s not like it was BIG yesterday and tossed aside the moment something new came up. It’s still here and still kicking up a storm. If anything it’s only gotten bigger. In fact there’s a whole other set of industries that’s spawned from this one singular creation. In fact you might just say these industries owe their whole existence to the iPod. From accessories to add-ons, the number of ‘additionals’ (for want of a better term) for this product are virtually limitless. iPod docks are essentially audio devices like speakers or adapters that enable the iPod to become more than what it is. They can allow the iPod to be your DVD player or Hi-Fi stereo. There are plenty of docks designed by many large companies like Logitech and Creative for example. Although these may be designed to enhance the iPod, their design concepts may not be as unique as some of the docks I aim to discuss in this feature so let's get to it. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill iPod Dock designs. The Dog Walking Dock It’s not like the iPod isn’t portable enough as it is. But if you’re looking to show off a bit and get your pet in shape while doing it, then this is definitely for you. Imagine being able to take your dog for a walk down the promenade and also listen to the soothing sounds of Beethoven perhaps (dog, Beethoven, famous movie). Let’s say you’d like your dog to get in on the act as well. I mean let’s not be selfish. Since there are no earphones for pooches out yet, you’ll need speakers and you cannot obviously carry them with you. So the solution is, an iPod dock that your dog can carry around. It’s a little doggy walker with a built in set of speakers and a dock for your Pod. So simply plug it in and take a walk. I’m sure your dog will appreciate the gesture. And hey, when a dogs gotta go, he’s gotta go. Who says he can’t enjoy it while he does. The Toilet Dock Speaking of ‘going’, I’m all for taking my music with me wherever I go. Literally! But I’m not entirely sure I’d like to have music playing while I’m addressing my subjects, if you catch my drift. But nevertheless there is a dock which might be just what you need if you don’t mind a little background music to make your morning business a little less cumbersome. The entire design of this dock, for some strange reason has a certain (and this is the last pun I assure you) feel good factor to it. And I’m sure you’ll agree. An iPod dock with a toilet paper dispenser could be right up your alley (sorry couldn’t resist). |
