Social networks are a vast resource for customer-generated content, which can be useful to market certain businesses. The various spontaneous posts can be used at your advantage, but one has to ensure that they all are pulled together in one place. This is where social media content aggregators come into the picture. Exploring this space is an Indian startup – Eventifier. As the name goes, Eventifier is a social media aggregator for events. Consider this typical example - when an event goes live, a lot of content is shared by its attendees. People usually share it via social networks like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Slideshare and it could be in several formats like videos, photos, blog posts and so on. The content is usually scattered and organisers struggle to reach out to audiences. Eventifier collates and gathers all the content and segregates it according to the format.
A social media aggregator for events
Eventifier has been conceptualised by a trio of friends - Jazeel Badur Ferry, Mohammed Saud Bhakar and Nazim Zeeshan - is managed by them as well. After receiving their degree in Computer Engineering, they would chalk out ideas in their free time, and Eventifier is one such idea that has materialised. Talking about what sets Eventifier apart from services like Storify, Jazeel tells us that it is an automatic tool and event organizer (unlike most others) and one doesn't need to do anything manually. The user has to simply fill a form under the ‘Archive My Event’ button found on Eventifier's website. Eventifier then does the rest of the heavy lifting. The Event Archive Page is set up and content from several social streams will be automatically pulled out. The contents will then be sorted out into tweets, photos, videos, slides, trends, top tweets and contributors. All this will be showcased in a neat interface on the Eventifier site.
