We select the 10 best games on the most unique gaming console out there.

10 Must Buy Nintendo DS Games

It's possibly the least popular gaming console in India, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have great games in its library. DS definitely has the most innovative library of games, including a list of non-gaming games. As tough as it is to decide on the 10 best games on the DS, I have managed to hand-pick ones that are a must-own for DS gamers.

Nintendogs

The Nintendogs games were a part of the launch lineup on the DS but it's still one of the most entertaining titles on the platform. The idea that you can have your own pet puppy who you can train to respond to its name and your voice commands is ingenious to this date, and a feat that has not been duplicated by any of the game's innumerable clones.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Sure you've played as Mario a number of times before. With this game you get to play as Mario's arch nemesis Bowser, who's a lot more powerful and actually punches enemies instead of jumping on their heads. Sure there have been many Mario RPGs before, but this one is definitely the most entertaining of the lot.

Guitar Hero: On Tour

If you crave a Guitar Hero fix while on the move, this is the best way to do it. The DS version is the only version of Guitar Hero that uses an additional peripheral, which makes the experience a lot closer to the home console versions than other portable attempts. Having an excellent lineup of songs to play to is an additional incentive. Too bad it's not compatible with DSi.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

There aren't too many open world game on the DS, which was something we came to accept, until we saw a perfectly functional (and fun) version of Grand Theft Auto on the console. The controversial series may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there's no denying that Chinatown Wars is one of the most engaging games on the platform.

Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure

Puzzles have been a part of adventure games since quite a while now, but never has any game incorporated a drop-down puzzle into an actual platform action game before. As cheesy as the game's presentation is, Henry Hatsworth is one of the most entertaining and action packed puzzle adventures out there.
