Siddharth's Top 10 Films Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope Anyone into AudioVideo has to love this movie, it cannot even be called as a cult classic as cults are not SO big. George Lucas's outlook was so fresh that Sci Fi fans were treated to sheer brilliance in movie making and overall entertainment. I use the newer star Wars DVDs for checking video too, the technicalities are brilliant.
The Godfather This one is on everyone's top 10 list. Mario Puzo's screenplay is actually what shines through, he's an awesome writer. The long, satisfying movie released before i was born, but that does not matter because it is really timeless classic, with the best actors in Hollywood and also some of the best dialog. This one is an offer you cannot refuse...
Andaaz Apna Apna Now this one is a cult classic, and one of the funniest, if not the most funniest Hindi movie around. Every character was extremely hilarious, and though there was no real plot or story (comedies do not need them), this movie had me in splits till the end. The jokes are included in my Day to day conversation.
Sin City I had read these graphic novels some time before the movie was released; Frank Miller, the writer/creator of the Sin City series is one of the best overall storytellers. Sin city's grim colors, wacky storyline, and formidable characters are non to be forgotten. The movie was technically very well made, and makes a very good Sunday evening re run.
Clockwork Orange Stanley Kubrick is another one of those genius directors who demands respect, for his brilliant style of storytelling. Like A Clockwork Orange, not only a good story, he packages it with brilliant performance and fast paced screenplay and violent action which would make the weak at heart shy away even today. A seriously enthralling film.
Transformers Special Effects! Again, this movie is like a stamp of the current technological era we are in. It pushes the envelope in terms of pure adrenaline pumping CG action. The transformers look so realistic, and the audio is so pumping, that this movie makes a great subwoofer test.
Wall.E Two words. Eerie beauty. Pixar have outdone themselves yet again, and this time the texture of animation is really surreal. Wall.E did not do well in the box office in India, and expectedly so, as this film is not meant for kids, or casual film goers. Its a work of modern day art. Enough said.
Blow One of my favorite actors, Johny Depp, does a brilliant performance of the Drug importer George Jung of the USA in the 60s and 70s. The movie makes you feel for the character, and mainly, it's such a fast paced, well thought out film. All the performances were top notch.
Batman Begins Just like every other male. I to am a batman fan, and have read quite a few of the comics. I really like this movie for that fact that it shows the beginning, off course not exactly how it was conceived originally, but still it was very gripping. Christopher Nolan is an amazing director, and all his movies are very entertaining.

Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels Pure fun, this one was. Some of the coolest dialogs ever written, this movie had very well penned lines and characters who say those lines. The story is simple, yet wound up and leads you around, and mainly the editing and screenplay is really in the superlative. The ending comes in such a way, you know you are going to see the film again.
