If you don't have deep pockets and a single device as opposed to two, here are a few DUAL SIM choices.

Dual SIM Handsets Under Rs. 6000

I’d like to say we’re overrun with these Dual SIM mobile handsets. However, they do make it easier for those with very limited budgets to have a mobile that offers quite a bit. So if you happen to be looking for a Dual SIM device in an ultra low budget, here are some good choices.

Videocon V1705 - Rs. 5,800
The V1750 is a neat looking device with a comfortable keypad and the shortcut keys make it really easy to access the music player or FM radio. Since it’s equipped with a 3.5mm handsfree socket you can opt to use your own or a better set of earphones for music. The music player comes with an 8 band customizable setting for audio enhancement. For social networking the handset is pre-loaded with a few chat applications including one that allows you to chat with your Skype Buddies. An Opera Mini browser is also available I the native browser doesn’t work fro you. The 1000mAh battery is quite adequate for a full day’s use and more.

The V1705 is loaded with -
  • 2.4-inch display
  • EDGE/GPRS/WAP
  • Bluetooth with A2DP, USB
  • 2 megapixel camera, LED flash
  • MicroSD card support up to 4GB
  • FM radio with a recorder
  • 3.5mm handsfree
Spice M-7070 - Rs. 6000
The M-7070 is a sleek and comfortable handset that’s designed to offer users optimum functionality at a low price. It’s an EDGE supported handset that offers POP and IMAP email support and Spice has also included quiet a few additional apps like Opera Mini for browsing as well as ibibo for a bit of social networking. A chat application is also available. This is also the cheapest 5MP camera phone that comes with a built in photo editor and video recorder.

Spice’s M-7070 is loaded with -
  • 2.3-inch display
  • EDGE/GPRS/WAP
  • Bluetooth with A2DP, USB (micro)
  • 5 megapixel AF camera, LED flash
  • MicroSD card support up to 16GB
  • FM radio with a recorder
  • TV Out
  • Micro USB handsfree connector
Olive V-G200 Pwrr - Rs. 3,499
The handset is very simple in the design department with a large keypad that makes typing both comfortable and quick. The display being touch sensitive is an added bonus negating the five way nav-pad. Navigation is easy as the UI is well laid out. Like the Samsung TouchWiz UI, the V-G200 also has drag and drop quick access widgets for the desktop. It’s packaged with a 2000mAh battery so battery life's not going to be a big issue.

The V-G200 features -
  • 2.4-inch Touchscreen
  • GPRS/WAP
  • Bluetooth with A2DP, USB (mini)
  • VGA camera
  • MicroSD card support up to 4GB

 7.0

We’ve already established that the Lumia 720 is Nokia’s best effort as far as Windows Phone 8 handsets go. This could soon change once the Lumia 925 hits markets, but as it stands now, the Lumia 720 offers the best blend of features and performance, wrapped in a beautiful package that’s quite affordable.
