The promise of 3G speeds for mobile connectivity is almost here. While most handsets priced over Rs. 10,000 are fully loaded to handle the speed burst, not everyone can afford to spend that much. With that in mind I thought I’d give you guys the a few affordable choices in handsets that will put those of you with tighter budgets in the same slipstream of data connectivity as those whose wallets are larger. So without further ado, here are a few 3G handsets that are priced under the Rs. 10,000 mark. The Mi-300 is India’s cheapest Android powered handset yet. It offers quite a bit of functionality for the average user from social networking to GPS and customizable interfaces. Via Android’s Marketplace application you can download games and all kinds of handy apps for all purposes. Spice has also included quite a few of their customary freebies with the device like access to Ibibo, railway information, Wapedia, Flickr and other sites. The Samsung Monte may not be the newest handset on this list but according to my sources, it’s still a pretty popular handset in the market.
