5 Must Have WoW Add-ons for Death Knights

As I mentioned in my Death Knight Tanking Guide, the Death Knight class is designed in a way that makes it ideal only for advanced WoW-heads. If you're relatively new to the game though, you'll need all the help you can get. To give you that extra edge and nudge you in the right direction, you can always recruit the help of these add-ons.

RuneWatch
RuneWatch is by far, the most useful companion to any Death Knight (other than that faithful ghoul, of course). The addon provides a very convinient way for Death Knights to keep track of what runes they've used up, how much runic power they have, and what diseases are up on the mob they've targeted. Such information is usually scattered over one's screen (the rune info and runic power's in the upper right corner with the healthbar), while the disease info is usually in the debuff area near the minimap on the screen.

This mod does an awesome job of providing all relevant information in the middle of the screen, using an aesthetically pleasing frame to adorn your runes/runic power on. The customizable options are plenty too, and the profile feature helps you save up different configurations for different specs. If you're a Death Knight, this will make your life a whole lot easier.

DeathKnight.Info Runes
For those of you who think having the rather large RuneWatch interface in or around the center of the screen is too barring, you can always opt for DeathKnight.Info Runes. This nifty visual upgrade modifies your Rune bar below your Runic Power bar to a gorgeous looking Knights of the Ebon Blade sword. You can move it around the screen too, to fit it nicely in a corner where it's visible, yet not obstructive. The best part about it is that it allows you to make the runes really prominent and display runic power numerically, showing you what resources you have, to work with.

You can change the orientation of the blade, change the skin, and scale it to a large size so that you can keep track of what runes are on cooldown from the corner of your eye. If you wish, you can even fade the runes and the blade in and out of combat. Having large and prominent runes and a cooldown timer on them that you can view without really looking away from the fight at hand, can mean the difference between life and death in an intense battle.
