As promised, here’s the second part of my Guide to WoW Jargons. This part will cover mainly the various locations in the world of Azeroth. Read on, and hopefully you’ll find it easier to find your way around the game: BG Meaning – Battlegrounds Usage – "Let’s go do a BG" The Battleground’s where all the action’s at; the BGs in WoW allow people from different Realms (servers) to battle each other to earn 'honor', which can be used to buy some pretty awesome gear. The three battlegrounds in WoW are listed below. AV Meaning – Alterac Valley Usage – "Time to go do some AV!" Alterac Valley is the largest Battleground in WoW; you can have up to 80 people (40 on each side). The minimum level requirement for AV is 51. WSG Meaning – Warsong Gulch Usage – "Druids are imba (imbalanced) in WSG" Warsong Gulch is the first BG you get access to. After you hit level 10, you can enter WSG. The level brackets for WSG are 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70. This ensures that you don’t have to face anyone significantly higher than your level. AB Meaning – Arathi Basin Usage – "AB can get a little boring" Arathi Basin is another Battleground in WSG. It allows two team of up to 15 players each to battle each other. The battles are node-based and you cannot get in until you’re at least level 20. Org Meaning – Orgrimmar Usage – "Orgrimmar is where Thrall chills out" Org is the major city that belongs to the Orcs and Trolls. |
