You can now use your iPad as a teaching tool!

Apple’s latest gizmo, the iPad, is one of those tablets that you can use for a plethora of activities. Apart from reading books, watching movies, listening to music, playing games, or surfing the internet, you can also use it for educational purposes by turning it into a blackboard! Here are a few applications to help you out and what’s more, all these apps are free of cost! This is probably as good as it gets when teaching your kid the alphabet. The typical look and tell alphabets application with pictures and sound, just in case you didn't know your alphabet well! It’s important for your kid to differentiate between good and bad food now, just in case he/she doesn’t like home cooked food! This app will help teach children about different types of food, it can be breakfast or candies and there’s also a feature for the grown-ups, it’s called, err… Drinks! Putting your kids to sleep can be quite a task, but not if you have an app that has a set of stories and a gentle voice that can narrate the stories to your kids as they drift away to sleep listening to them! Joining dots has been a favorite activity for kids of all ages. This application takes you back to those figures that you already know about but would still join the dots to see how amazing you can do it! The app has a set of objects like square, circle, triangle, etc. and are a lot of fun to join. If Kids Math doesn’t sound too exciting to you then there’s Undersea Adventures, where you answer questions on addition and in turn reveal parts of a “nice underwater picture”, math is now so much fun! There are quite a few more apps out there in the Apple store, but many of them are paid. |
