New speakers for PC

Hi all,
I need some suggestion from experts here to choose a 2.1 speaker for my desktop. I will mainly use it for gaming,watching movies and would love to listen to good music.My budget is 2.5 or 3k at a stretch.But not more than that.I would compromise on additional features like headphone jack on it etc...

I recently(2nd April 2012) bought a 2.1 speaker system for my friend. Model - Creative Inspire T3100. The company has discontinued the model but you can still find it in shops if you are lucky enough. It is hard to find it at an authorised dealer/distributor though. the speakers cost me 2300/- and let me tell u they not only look superb but also sound beautiful. Crisp mids from the satellite speakers and superb bass response from the woofer. To be frank, I am a bit envious abt my friend having it.
