40 Inch LED tv related help/suggestions needed.

Hello.

I just joined the forum today. I used to have a CHIP account some time back, but i forgot the information and they merged with Tech2forum, which was news for me. So i made a new account.

As my thread title suggests, I am looking for help regarding a 40 inch LED tv which i plan to get. Its going to be an important decision for me and the rest of my family due to the different types of viewing experience we have.

I live in Gurgaon (delhi-ncr), so anyone with an idea of this area and already versed in this kind of purchase would be a great help also. My budget is within 55k strictly.

Basically, the parameters are-

1. 40 inch
2. LED
3. Within 55k - including all taxes. (this limits the options severely, i agree)
4. wireless-ready is n important factor i want to look out for.
5. 100 Hz MotionPlus/ClearMotion ... whatever they call it, refresh rate basically.

yeah, that's basically it.

if 4 out of 5 points are fulfilled, (the top 4), then it's great for me.



i found a good option, considering the lower price tag - Flipkart: Samsung 40 Inches Full HD LED UA40D5003BR Television: Television

its obviously an older model, perhaps 2011, or earlier, but the problem is, only 1 HDMI port, and even if that was bad enough, if it had DLNA or 100 Hz refresh rates, it would have been worth the 1 HDMI crippling factor.

another thing - Toshiba - 40AL10E - 40 inch LED Backlight LCD TV | TV - LED Backlit TV - Toshiba Malaysia - this TV - its a Toshiba model, less preferred, i could understand, but i want to confirm a few things.
have a look at it, is this a good idea? it has a low price tag, but then it doesn't have wireless support or 100Hz factor either. The only thing that is swinging me is (if its true, as Toshiba claims) - its a "Backlit LED panel" which as i have understood - produces deeper blacks in dark scenes and more reasons due to the same than Edgelit panels which are more popular now..

i have also checked compareindia.in for local prices, which are definitely lower than flipkart or some other site out there. please let me know if there is something i overlooked.

also, i dont think its a good idea to go for ebay as the shopping site. the information usually is very vague and incorrect, basically regarding the warranty being a "dealer warranty" or "manufacturer warranty". i have seen seller's faking it a lot.

Hey, thanks for replying. I thought no one would reply, so i kinda forgot abt my thread.

I understand, some ppl don't bother, or get too busy with life. do you have the same model or something similar?

I have two Sonys, Sony Bravia KLV-46X450A old now and the other is a KLV 32NX 500 a lil older now ;)

i plan to buy them both at the same time, maybe a week or two apart. a really good friend of mine suggested that i wait until Diwali, to get more than 20% price reduction very easily. I am having second thoughts.

No I dont have a PS3 ..Im a PC gamer and I game with the KLV 32 NX500 as a display.Diwali is so far way....anyway if that makes you happy and worth it go right ahead.
