Buying a TV around 60k, should I go for LG3d Or Sony/Samsung LED non 3d

    Hello,

I am planning to buy a new HD TV. My budget is around 60k. I have been visiting stores and this is what i got

    LG 42LW4500 42" TV - Price 65000 3D TV
    Sony EX520 40" TV - Price 58,000
    Samung UA40EH500R 40" - Price around 48,000

or should I go for any other model?

I do not want to go for sony or samsung 3d tv's because of their costly 3d glasses. LG looks fine to me but I have not used a single LG product till now so I am not sure about it.

Please suggest what should I buy if my budget is around 60k +/- 5k. Should I go for samsung or sony's HD LED TV?

Honestly....you cant watch 3D for more than half an hour...its a pain....you will have headaches and eyesore if its even close to an hour...anyways if you like the idea go for 3D ....but whatever they had promised (sony) coudnt deliver till now.Rest is your call.

I would not suggest 3D Tv, they are very costky for no reason. Trust me, you will like it once, twice but you would hate to see 3D everytime, moreover there is not much content.

Rather invest in buying a better HD LED Tv which has better pixel, contrast ratio etc.

I am getting the Sony LED TV around 58k, but by investing around 8000 more I will be able to get an LG TV... I agree presently content is not there, but I plan to use this TV for atleast next 5 years. HD content was not available an year ago, but now there are many channels, 2-3 years down the line, there will be 3d content and this tv also has the capability to convert 2d to 3d, and the glasses are fairly light weight , flicker free and simple to use, no batteries and all.... That why I think an LG 3D TV 42LW4500 42" TV would be a good option. LG is anyhow considered the best in 3D TV . Here is the link to the TV Specs The Next Generation 3D TV_42LW4500

If its Rs 8000 and it dosnt matter to you,go ahead. There is nothing wrong to have an additional feature if its just a little bit more.

I'd have to agree. I actually find 3D painful to watch even on the best sets. And you know the other problem I have with 3D is that the stuff in crisp focus is in a very narrow band/range in the screen. Everything else in the background is all messed up and either out of focus or not clear enough.

Take the example of someone walking through a lush forest, and you'll have the subjects popping out the screen, but the trees and the leaves behind don't get the same attention. Always prefer watching in HD 2D.
