Xbox 360 region free gaming

My Xbox 360 is a NTSC-J region, will i be able to play games if i buy it in India? Or are there games that are sold region free?

1.NTSC - U/C comes under USA and Canada.
2.NTSC - J comes under Japan, Korea and Asia (Apparently India doesn't come under this region).
3.PAL - Australia,Europe and India.

So what we get in India is from Europe right? And there are games like halo 3 and upcoming Halo 4 that can be still played even if i buy it in India right?

^If your Xbox 360 comes under PAL region - yes, you can buy the games right from India. The games themselves have "PAL;NTSC-U/C;NTSC-J" printed on their boxes.
