Oh shit! Those Indian Gaming carnival guys have made the gaming scene a massive international laughing stock. Meanwhile IBN is praising IGC. I just don't understand how mainstream media works. Has honesty died to a point that people write good things provided they get good food served in press conferences because I am sorry, a lot of mainstream media guys ARE doing that. People put up press releases without even researching, doing swanky and hourly specials- even tech sections (like aaakash tablet). I was under the impression that society's welfare and honesty comes first- even private media companies?

Actually most of the info I got via SMS/FB I received turned out to be true. Initially what they tried was they tried to delay the even purposely because they know Moscow 5's flight was today but their manager cancelled it and extended the hotel because they wanted to win (DUH, as if they're going to fall for it). When this happened, the finals were supposed to be done today, but they gave away the prize cheques yesturday:

NSD ------ Rs 3,00,000
Invictus ------ Rs 3,00,000
Frag Republic-------- Rs 3,00,000

Everyone are encashing the cheques with the hope that it is for real. I have more information but not going to say a lot of it. Suffice to say Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida is earning a lot of bad name now.
