People moved away from Chip quite some time ago. Funny I find you asking when you're the one who's been MIA big time. As for where have they gone - some moved to other forums, some others outgrew forums(me, for instance. I'm pretty much into Q&A now. Stack Exchange). Others have moved on to twitter, some others just got busy with their lives.

It's easy to spend time discussing & circle jerking over the same thing when you've got nothing to do. But then, priorities change. You no longer want to do the same ol' thing over and over again. It's always a cycle, people come, people go. Some keep staying for a while.

^ I've been using PureVision 2 for a year now. Never tried anything else. I have almost twelve more pairs that I recently bought. Always assumed that the premium price was justified somehow >.<

The doc told me that they're much softer and more comfortable, especially for first-timers. Is that true at least? He also said some crap about them being hybrid in material. Silicone hydrogel was the term, IIRC.

And the boxes say that they're tinted, but I don't see any tints. Once I drop one, I just forget about it. It takes forever to find it and it feels disgusting to put it on my eye once it's touched the floor. Not to mention the huge task of cleaning out all the dust that would've stuck to it xD

P.S. You look totally nerdy in that pic =P

The thank button's still there. It's just called "rep" now xD

But I agree, thanking wasn't always suitable. Rep is much better.

That's probably my point of the post, price premium isn't justified. The material is a little softer but I doesn't make any difference. At least not to me. Yeah I saw that it's mentioned they're tinted but I don't see any tints.

And lol. I looked like a typical nerd/geek then. ;p

    (acted like one too ;p)

Never liked the idea of lens. Don't like the idea of touching my eyes.
How come people aren't opting for that surgery? Some lasik surgery or something

^ I used to feel the same way about putting things in my eyes, but it's not hard to get used to it and trust me, contacts are so much more convenient. And you don't end up looking weird (although some people look better with glasses) xD

Surgery is risky. People say even if it goes perfectly, it can significantly increase the chances of eye disorders in the long run.

Hey what happened to the old chip forum. It redirects to here. Are the posts archived somewhere. I wanted to have a look at the guides section(thermal paste removal guide by The Sorcerer. I remember he has suggested some company for lint free cloth in that thread. So I just wanted to go back and see what exactly was his suggestion for my query. But I got redirected back here. So are the posts archived somewhere or are they permanently lost?
