i don't know where in Hyderabad you stay, but bellieve me, in this city , the best broadband connection is Beam Cable internet.

I might sound like a sales man for them , but i am not, i can assure you that.
I had been using their service for more than two years. The total downtime i faced in that time was, 4 days :D the billing system is transparent. . I got the connection setup in less than two hours after paying the installation amount of 850Rs. :P . No modem required too. I recommended it to two of my friends and they are happy about it.
poke.neha, you could go for 400Rs 256kbps p/m UL plan.
There is a wireless wimax provider called tikona, of whom i heard the service was on-par with beam tele , but the prices are slightly on the upper side.

IMO , please don't go for hathway, i have heard lots of complaints from friends in different parts of the city that the service and the connection itself is pathetic.

P.S. there needs to be a beam-box in/nearby your locality for connection. The stupid association of my new apartment is not letting me put it up :-(

^Whoa! didn't know about beam, some beam salesman came over but I didn't know whether beam was good or not so I took up hathway.

^ Dude, you are seriously missing the better part of the internet experience. And the price difference between Hathway and Beam is huge last i heard. If you are on monthly plan with hathway, cancel it. Try beam, you will love it.

But beam telecom isnt good at their service.. plans are good.. i opted for 2mbps package which is for 999pm.

Hathway was dumb, its better now. Better customer care IMO.
They seem to have some issues for connections in Banjara Hills though.Don't get Hathway if you live in in that area.
