I think nikon has launched about 1 month ago in the market.it has 16.1MP with 5x Zoom
Sony is Slim and better Picture quality than nikon but around Rs700 more.its only 14.1MP,4xZoom but ease to carry
    Dats my Comments

I would say stick to the Sony . I am having an old generation SOny DSC W310 the basic W series and for the past 2 years it is working perfectly without much trouble. But I have a little complaint about the device is that lack of manual control in the device. If you are serious about photography but pulled back because of budget , you might outgrow the device in a year or so. Anyway am posting a link to my flickr profile. Have a look at the pics taken with the dsc w310 : Flickr: Navaneeth A's Photostream
