1) NIKON COOLPIX L810

OR

2)FUJIFILM FINEPIX S3300

OR ANY OTHER CAMERA PLEASE SUGGEST.

Hi buntty

FIRST NIKON COOLPIX L810 WAS LAUNCHED IN FEB 2012 AND FUJIFILM FINEPIX S3300 IN JAN 2011 AND SURELY THE LAUNCH DATES CAN SAY A LOT.

BOTH CAMERA'S HAVE 26X SUPER-ZOOM, BUT NIKON IS LOADED WITH 16 MEGAPIXEL AND FUJI IS LOADED WITH 14 MEGAPIXEL

I PREFER FUJI COZ IT HAS A VIEWFINDER AND FOR VIEWFINDER IT BECOMES LESS SHAKKY IF YOU USE IT RATHER THAN THE LCD.

Frankly, I wouldn't consider either for a budget of Rs 15,000 to 16,000. Instead of paying more attention to just super-zoom, I suggest looking at the image quality first.

Go in for the Sony HX9V - Rs 15,500
-16 megapixel
-24 mm wide with 16x optical zoom
- full HD video recording at 60fps
-3-inch LCD with 921k dots
- GPS

increase your budget by Rs 1,000 and pick the Sony HX10V which has a slightly higher megapixel count and better features.

I agree with anand, you should definitely try out either the HX9V or the HX10V. With the HX10V there are are only a few upgrades that do not definitely warrant a purchase as the HX9V offers great image quality and it was one of the best travel compact cameras of 2011. So it definitely be a choice worth considering. And honestly if i was going to buy a compact camera, then this option would be at the top of my list.
