Scanner not detected in Laptop
I have a Canon CanoScan LIDE 25 USB Scanner which I've been using for almost a year now. All this time I was using it on my Desktop PC. The scanner doesn't have an external power cable and I believe it takes power from USB.
Recently I got a used Toshiba Tecra A8 laptop and when I tried connecting the scanner to it, it doesn't get detected. The USB ports in the laptop seem to work fine as I connect external hard drives, USB flash disks and mobile devices and they work fine. Only the scanner doesn't get detected.
Please help. Thanks.

Re: Scanner not detected in Laptop
The Toshiba is plugged in when you put the scanner into it I'm guessing?
And does the scanner turn on at least when you plug it in?
