None of you knew about BSNL EVDO?

The speeds are never constant. Speeds always vary depending upon various factors - The main factor being the distance of your EVDO modem from the nearest tower. If it's in a direct line of sight then great!

Don't expect 2.4 Mbps constant from this kinda connection. I have seen many people who are struggling to get 24 Kbps on their EVDO.

Pings are horrible. This is not for gamers (and for those people who are ping conscious).

Anyways expecting constant throughout from wireless connections isn't pratical, With wireless everything is in bursts.
And hey Chaits, EvDO enabled towers are few and far between, if tower isn't EVDO enabled then it falls back to CDMA-1X mode (ie, 144Kbps)

You are right some people are getting good speed and others are not getting. But its true that speed varies.

The distance from CDMA tower to CDMA modem may be the cause.
