Right. But how can we come to know that It will get speed in our home before purchasing that EVDO.
    hmm.strange.ask ur service provider
2 Months ago I've purchased reliance wiMax connection. They came to my place and check the frequency of signal. Then they've installed the antenna where maximum signal was coming. I don't think so BSNL will gives such type of service. Need to borrow somebody's EVDO and have to check myself.

And hey Chaits, EvDO enabled towers are few and far between, if tower isn't EVDO enabled then it falls back to CDMA-1X mode (ie, 144Kbps)
Agreed. Even I read that you need to be in the range of a EVDO tower to get the full theoretical 2.4 mbps speed.

Now I have read many reviews and most of the people are saying that they are getting very slow speeds on their EVDO cards inspite of being in an area that has a EVDO tower. Looks like this thing totally depends on luck.

Who told you that? Well, actually it doesn't $uck provided the company or say the ISP who is providing it is professional.

Now Mumbai and Pune are covered by Reliance WiMax. Very few of my friends are using it and overall they are not satisfied with the kind of service and speed they are getting.

Why not go for BSNL's 7.2 Mbps unlimited plan at Rs. 4200 / 6 months?
