AdSense Information
Hello everyone. I have a website. Has poems, articles, some memes, started adding some tech stuffs lately.
On average I am getting around 100 visits a day, 200-300 page views.
I've been owning the domain for 3 months or so.
I want to put ads on my site and earn and make my own pocket money.
Can I know few stuffs before that?
1) I heard Google plays only 1 or 2 cents per 1000 page impressions. So to earn 1 dollar, it will take me 100,000 page views. Where do I get that much traffic from?
2) Can anyone give me some good SEO tips? I downloaded this SEO for WP by Yoast, and I couldn't tweak much or do anything.
3) What's the PPC? I know it's pay per click. I mean, who will only click my ad? There's hardly anyone in internet who click on ads? What is Click Through Rate and all. Some 2%-3% thing.
Any other tips to earn around 40-50 dollars a month? (atleast around 20 initially)

CPM varies and is not fixed. Where do you get traffic? Write good stuff.

There's no such thing as "SEO tips". Write content, have Google index it. More searches & more visits, more will the ranking improves.
. I mean, who will only click my ad?
Now you know why I say don't start a blog just for earning.

Number of clicks registered on the ad & action taken upon viewing the ad.

No "tips". Like I've been telling since eternity - don't create a blog with get rich quick intention. That's now how it works. You approach with this attitude, it'll crash faster than you can take off. There's no shortcut .Repeat, there's no shortcut. Want traffic? Write good stuff. Make them come back. Once you've built some decent traffic you can consider CPM based networks like Tribal Fusion to suppliment Adsense.
To repeat: There's no shortcut. And oh, don't try to cheat Google by doing things like clicking on your own ads.

Do not apply to Google AdSense now. Please wait. Google will NOT accept your requiest untill your blog or website is more that 1 year old, have more that 1000 daily page views and many other things. Its too early to apply for google adsense. Still then you can try other servoces like AdSense Viz. Chitika, LinkShare, and many other services.
Do not apply for it Google because, once you get refusal email, you will be NEVER get activated and you will loose the worlds best forever.

Do not mislead someone. My application was accepted when my blog was about 2 months old, had <100 visits a day. And there is nothing like once your application get rejected, it never accepts. Just follow the Rules & Terms of Usage for AdSense.

Nither I am misleading, but you do. What ever I have said is completely true. You may be the one of thousends who have extaordinary blog and got the application accepted. Just search about rejected adSense account and you will know the reality. Even Priemier account holders have got those problems. And I am telling you once again that if your application is get rejected, its near to impposible to get it accepted by reapplying.

Re: AdSense Information
I also agree with ksg91. I don't think that for Google adsense you need to have your webpage 1 year old or should have some number of visitors a day. for SEO thing you can find many articles and videos online. I came across a nice blog while searching for SEO tricks.I am sharing the URL with you, hope it works tariqueneyaz

Re: AdSense Information
Some funny stuff on your website - I had a bit of laugh!
However, the subject you chose -poetry, funny stuff etc - has a very very low CTR, and very few relevant ads anyway. Not a good idea to put adsense there - you will lower your eCPM if you have other sites as well.
If you want to monetize this website, think of another method - offer writing services maybe. And it would help to stay focused.

Re: AdSense Information
The best part is do Google for your concern and search T&C for Adsense over there, but still since what i heard many times that your websites should rank around 10,000 then only Google will accept your offer.
