So I've been facing frequent disconnection on my MTNL broadband. Initially i thought it was because the guys had messed it up themselves like they did every year for diwali baksheesh. But it's December and I'm still facing issues. Have called the guys up and they make endless calls to me asking if the connection is working fine. It does for a while and dies again. My brother is contemplating changing the service provider.
Am from Mumbai and stay in Chembur

I'm noticing some slowdown at times on my MTNL connection during the day, but past 12 in the night. I get over 215kB/s! Pings are nice and stable too for my online gaming needs.
Pings as for my bsnl connection are a thing of the past now. I don't know what they did in their routing but pings are mostly horrible.
Speeds are good. I get 512 kbps even after crossing FUP limit(takes a day or two before its finally reduced)
Haven't played online games other than Borderlands 2, but pings are fail.

I use MTNL triband 752 kbps unlimited plan with wifi connection. Modem model: 450TC1. I stay in navi mumbai. There is frequent disconnection of net after regular intervals. The four led (green) is on all the time, but my network symbol changes to local connection only. I am using windows vista 32. I have scanned the pc twice and got rid of viruses still the problem persists. What could be the possible reason for this problem?

What are your SNR and attntuation values? Might as well be a line fault.
Also scan using this http://housecall.trendmicro.com
Also change DNS to 8.8.8.8
