Stop waiting! It's probably never going to reach us.
I hate saying I told you so!For all the fanfare that accompanied the launch of the Aakash tablet, only 366 units of the tablet have reached students. The units were given to students at the time of the launch on October 5 so that they could test them and provide their feedback. The information may not be widely known but it has been in the public domain since March 14 when minister for human resource development Kapil Sibal replied to a question about the Aakash project in Lok Sabha.

I remember some tv show in some tv news channel where they do these gadget shows- they literally overglorified aakash tablets.
Aaah well, you know it as well as I do, that this is as duddy as a dud can be. But regardless, we continue to lap it up, because it's so cheaaaap.
I would prefer to bank on a chinese Android 4.0 10 inch tablet for 6.5K instead of waiting or the Aakash... it would definitely be a value for money against the Aakash. For that matter, even the Zinc or the Aino is way much better.....
Aakash seems to just be a head spinner tactic pulled off by the government. it does not look like reality.... it seems to be a money involving racket where the budget will be passed, then the project scrapped and the money digested by the middle men....
