I want to buy an android phone and have decided on the Samsung Galaxy S2. What i want to know are the other options in this price range(30K). Also will this phone be compatible with Ice Cream Sandwich. Shall i hold out for the Nexus Prime. I mean is its launch imminent.

Don't wait for the Nexus Prime. Even if it does launch next month (rumor!), it will take considerable time to reach India.
You may want to hold out for the Sensation XE though, launching on 20th Sept probabaly.

I got the S2. I went through the Sensation XE specs. The phones are nearly identical and IMO the samsung has the screen advantage.

Yes it is a tie between the screen of GS2 vs the Sense UI + Beats Audio of XE. So you cannot be wrong is choosing either one

@sounava: most probably sensation XE gonna be costilier than gs2,because it comes with beat headsets,which alone cost around $100.

With this budget you can get the Galaxy S2 which is what most ud suggest. The lowest listed price on this model is 27790 at adexmart, but with coupons you can get this for much cheaper.

However if you prefer HTC, I think sensation is the best suited. It comes with Android Gingerbread with 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen and HTC Sense UI and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. The cheapest price you can get is 29,299 at Saholic.

You should also look at the HTC Evo - the 3D phone. I have also posted in the main forum, but I now revise my needs as under. I am lookig to urgently buy a new phone within the next 3 days.

1. Budget - up to 17k, can be stretched to 18 but I'd like below 17
2. very good touchscreen required. I initially wanted a hardware QWERTY but I'm letting it go.
Also I need at least 2 days of battery life on moderate use.
3 Brands - anything will do

So what's the best phone for me? I was thinking about the Samsung Galaxy SL. (i9003)
Please help ASAP.
