About LinkBacks^I don't like it plasticky looks and huge screen.
They should lower it to 3.5" which I feel is perfect to carry around as a multimedia device and phone as well.

Everyone will have problem with one feature or the other.
I think manufacturers should start giving customizing options in phones. For 8MP cam another 2k, For 3.3 inch screen -3K. :P
I know it will be nearly impossible to do that though

After reading quite a few reviews I did make out that even Desire has a serious problem which makes it undesirable - poor battery life.
It needs to be charged everyday :O even after "not so heavy use" and with heavy usage twice a day :O
IMO an ideal phone shouldn't need a charging for atleast 1.5-2 days
Some say even after Froyo update there is not much of improvement in battery life
my brother just got one last week and after using the battery conditioning technique mentioned by HTC and after changing a few settings, the battery life has increased a lot.
^Also does it heat up on prolonged Internet usage?
Does your brother use 3G and Wi-fi?

Dunno man, thats what he told me.
But AFAIK he uses Edge most of the day and talks/messages quite a lot after which the phone lasts a day (after tweaking a few settings here and there)
He didn't buy the phone, just borrowed a friend's and is trying it out.
ahh!! still can't find Samsung galaxy3 i5800 anywhere!
