going to check it today. Already received sms from nokia priority dealer conforming launch of N8 but currently i'm in my home town.
I guess, nokia will stop production of N8 in few months for the sake of its other new phones.![]()
Wave II
This news may be bit old but nevertheless I am posting it
Wave II will feature a slightly larger screen than its predecessor, i.e., a 3.7-inch SLCD screen compared to the 3.3-inch AMOLED screen on the Wave S8500.
It will apparently launch in November sometime in Europe, and will be priced at €429, or approximately Rs. 26,500.

went to a local mobile shop and asked for N8. He said he can book it for me at 24k and will give it by 18th (dont know if this month or next as i wasnt interested in booking).
Then called up nokia priority dealer. he said he have it available at 24.5k and all five colors and also some good scheme but tell that if i come to his shop!

Well, i have decided to buy n8. Going today evening to check availability. Any advice?
@sid, how slow is n8? Havent seen any demo yet..
^^Demos which I have seen on youtube were really impressive. It was working really fast. They also opened a flash site and it handled it pretty well
Checked few leading shops and none had N8!and big pity is that city like Bhuj dont have any nokia priority dealer! Have to purchase from the town i study..
From what I have read N8 doesn't have too much of application support, is it true?
Sony Xperia U
I dont think so. I think nokia is also going to release mid end symbian phones too (correct me if wrong)
Is the N8 battery not replaceable by user? This could be critical when the phone hangs and the only way is to remove and reinsert the battery.
I had decided on C6-00 as VFM and was going to buy it until I read the N8 OS reviews. Feels like waiting for Symbian3 would be better. I need a qwerty hardware keyboard.
Will we get any such device soon? Presently I use 6220classic.

No, the battery is not user replaceable.
If you need a keyboard then get something like the C6 / E72 / Bold 9700 / Milestone
