    Suggestions required-IEM for Rs 500

    Budget = Rs 500

    heard a lot about jvc marshmallow and brainwavz alpha
    which one should i choose ?or should i go for something else?

    I need something that is not very fragile, it should have good enough build quality to handle a little wear and tear

    1)people keep talking about different sound signatures so i'll give you my genre of music please suggest

    i like bass(esp. thumpy bass :P) but the bass should not overpower the mids and the treble, there should be clarity
    i listen to Metal(not heavy metal) , hard rock, rock,alternative rock and a lot of post rock (instrumentals such as god is an astronaut) and background scores/soundtracks

    2)source: i'll be using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter with my nokia 3110c.
    will this do justice to my IEM's or i should get a new mobile 1st before getting a good IEM?

    Re: Suggestions required-IEM for Rs 500

    Of course people talk about the sound signatures and the type of music one listens to afterall buying a 'matching' ear/headphone depends on those too. And from the music you listens to it seems you want an all-around performing IEM.
    I (and a few others here) own a Soundmagic PL11. Its definitely not bassy imo. It costs me 500bucks But i hear Creative EP630 has a good bass.
    [spoiler:3dz7xnv1]dang it! Now that i think about it i should have bought the EP630! :x >.< i like bass[/spoiler:3dz7xnv1]
    oops! Typo.

    and what about the usage of 3.5mm converter... will there be audio quality loss?

    There'll be no audio quality loss due to the converter but 3110c 'really' won't do justice to your IEM...

    @OP, i made a typo. Its PL11. :oops:
    a little info on the PL11 sound quality. Its clear. Even the plucking of guitar strings you can hear them clearly. But bass? Terrible imho. I put my phone N79 on 'Bass Booster' mode and the bass was negligible. With a cheap headphone from Ody brand the bass booster was decent..which i like it very much :D
    I think the PL21 cost about 800bucks and you are right its out of your budget :mrgreen:
