Looking for a phone with a 1GHz processor

Sony Xperia U with a price tag of Rs. 17399 is also something you should consider. It has dual core processor and Sony makes pretty decent products ( it was like apple of the tech world before apple).

Screen is 3.5 inch which is perfect size for a touchscreen. Camera is 5 MP only but my friend has a Sony phone. His camera is 3.1 MP and it snaps photos that are much much better than my 5MP camera phone of Spice MI300 (which actually for 10k in not a too bad VFM phone when i bought it 18 or so months ago).

My advise is you are looking for 1 GHz you want a pleasant experience, shelling out these extra bucks is always better in Android phones as the cheaper models really really suck. (better buy Nokia in cheaper range, atleast they are sturdy and give decent battery life). Please note I haven't used this phone, giving advice basically after playing around with android models of both lower and higher price spectrum.

Karbonn k9 has 1ghz processor. Better to buy it.

If your budget is flexible I'd recommend the Sony Ericsson Neo V... The camera is really quite good, among other features

Wait for the One V, the review is going up shortly and trust me, the phone is absolutely worth a buy! In competition, there's the U and the Sola from the Xperia series as well.
