Does any one know how to upgrade the Sony Ericsson Arc to Sandwich one?

Well,
Install Sony Ericsson PC companion and there should be a notification telling you that there is a system firmware update available or something similar to that, then follow on screen instruction .

AFAIK no Icecream Sandwich update is available for Arc till now.
Its available for Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V and Xperia Ray and their S tablet as well.

Whoa! I thought they must have released it for Arc because of the Arc S update.
Alright if that's the case then the update will be coming in May June
or July

There's some good news for you . Download Flashtools V7 and flash the LT18i (Xperia Arc S) official firmware. Your phone will become recognized as the Arc S (but it will actually be the Arc running ICS) Just did it a couple of days back and works like a charm :D. Google's your best friend here but PM me if you need more details.

Thanks Karan, it's working on the Arc. So far so good but it does a few minor bugs.
What I would suggest for those who are adventurous enough to try, is root the Arc post ICS, and remove the Bloatware from the system to free up space. I noticed that it works much smoother after this.
