    Tough luck, you will probably never find it am afraid.

    But do file an FIR, it will keep you protected in case someone misuses it.

    Well, you can find IMEI number from the phone bill. You should give that and phone number and whatever else is required.
    You can try pressurizing the cops but I really don't have a choice but to agree with HatZim .
