I dont think scores under cpu test 1 & 2 and under cpu test got anything to do with physx. We are juding the processor based on processor scored and not by 3dmark overall score which is calculated alongwith the GPU.

Obviously it doesn't. Then there's no need to find out a vantage score for gpu if the total score doesn't matter as this is a processor discussion thread.

Did u run benchmark properly?
Are u sure that the cpu score is 25k?
I dont think it vud be that low...

How come phenom II that low?
My E8400 scored 29k on stock..
What can we infer? That 3Dmark is also intel biased or phenom II's quads cant cope with C2D's?

yes i know how to use my 3D Mark Vantage software well. >_>
I did a google search for "3DMark Vantage scores for E8400" & i ended up finding stuff that contradicts your 29k CPU score.
The highest people have achieved with an E8400 is 14.2k that too when its OC'ed to 4.2GHz
On stock, the CPU scores are near 8k~9k max.
I don't conclude that anybody here is right or wrong, but i prefer YOUR screenies of 29k score as well as anybody else who owns E8400.
That way we can be sure of things.

Most impressive however i still want somebody else with an E8400 to post their results before i can conclude that E8400 > Phenom II x4 940BE in 3DMark Vantage.

I have doubts & I want them cleared. Please go through this - http://www.google.co.in/search?q=3DMark ... art=0&sa=N & tell me whats the difference between your E8400 & their E8400 procs.

See the guy with E8400 in the 10k barrier. Click on his link & look @ his CPU score.
Everywhere i google, i see results which don't go along with yours.

Now i dont know whats going on here but somethings not right.

is it possible for you to post your 3DMark Vantage scores since you too have an E8400. Also shed some light on this matter. Im confused. :?

I will post my score when i go home. Don't know how much it will be. Last time I ran the test i got a score of 42K on stock!! Don't remember if it was PC Mark or 3D Mark. I was surprised to see such high scores! I have that file saved! will post it along with CPU-Z.
