Mid range PC for gaming
Hi all, Here's the list
1. What is your MAX budget? -- 30-35k
2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why? -- Yes why not?
3. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that) -- Video Editing, GAMING, Multitasking to a high extent
4. Planning to overclock? -- Not sure about this, but open to try
5. Which OS are you planning to use? -- Win 7 x64
6. How much hard drive space is needed? -- 1 TB
7. What resolution will the screen run at? -- HD preferably
8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest) -- 3
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler? -- would be done by an assembler
10. When are you planning to buy the system? -- Next 30 days
11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations? -- YES
12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention. -- Planning to build from scratch, would require everything end to end.
13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states? -- Chennai and NO
14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
-- Preferred processor choice would be i5
-- Its very HOT down here, case with good cooling features would really help.
-- Can still push for another 5k if required.
Please suggest
Thanks

Are you adventurous?
Totaled to Rs. 39, 020
Pushing for an i5 on this budget is... do-able, but not ideal. The tri-module Bulldozer excels at productivity suites, and is slightly ahead of the similarly priced X6 1055T/1075T.
Multi-tasking should be a breeze. I made a pairing, the Asus M5A97 looks good. I've added two sticks of 4-GB RAM to the list and a terabyte of storage space.
Everything else is self-explained, thanks to the links I've provided, which hopefully backs-up my reasoning for the selections.
You were looking for a future-proof setup, and well... Bulldozer truly is.
Give the article a read.
ANYWAY-
Good Luck!

Re: Mid range PC for gaming
Thanks both for your comments.
NZXT cases are quite difficult to find in chennai.
Will Cooler Master Elite 311 Plus be a good option? Flipkart: Cooler Master Elite 311 Plus Mid Tower Cabinet: Cabinet
Is there any specific difference between HIS AMD/ATI Radeon HD 6770 and XFX ATi Radeon HD6770??
From the website I could understand that XFX requires a 650W PSU whereas HIS runs on a 450W

Re: Mid range PC for gaming
yup the 311 would do ... although it would be due to lack of options
imho no differences although HIS is a very unreliable brand and the XFX although it has a name for itself has no performance benefits/difference to justify the brand premium that it has.
also XFX has crappy Rashi for services/RMA...
go for either PowerColor or Sapphire for ATi/AMD cards. or Zotac for nVidia
your PSU would need to be al least the one mentioned earlier though.
