What do u mean by "true cores" ? -_` AFAIK socket AM3 doesn't support APUs. Someone may have told you(most likely a local dealer) that the FX4100 doesn't have true cores in the sense that it has a graphics processing chipset built into the processor. Well the guy is wrong. Only socket FM1 processors have that feature and it is an awesome feature to have if you want a PC for basic use.The AMD FX-4100 quad-core processor is basically a FX-8150 with 4-cores disabled.Hope I made some sense.
Also the hyper TX3 should suffice.

At 1080p, the GTX 560Ti is THE card to have if you can afford it.Also the NZXT Gamma is far superior than the Elite 311 IMHO.Also when you give a config make sure you type the prices.

    Re: PC upgrade suggestions

If you can forego overclocking, then this is a better rig IMHO

    Intel Core i5 - 2320 11.5k
    Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3 5.5k
    GSkill 4GB 1.7k
    Seasonic s12II 520W 3.9k
    NZXT Gamma 2.4k
    Sapphire HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 10k

For moderate gaming on Full HD the 6850 would be suffice. The core i5 would provide a better overall experience while lowering power consumption, as compared to AMD FX processors.

    Re: PC upgrade suggestions

@OP: If you are not satisfied with a fx series cpu you can opt for a i3 or i5.you have 13k for cpu+mobo.
    I3 2100 6.5k
    gigabyte h61ds2 4k
i3 2100 is more than enough for you usage.

    Re: PC upgrade suggestions

@avatar2008:The i3 2100 and the fx4100 are neck and neck(and it doesn't matter much which processor the OP gets)when it comes to performance. Its the OP's call now whether he wants a faster GPU(I am leaning towards GPU) or a faster CPU.
BTW the 560Ti totally kills the 6850.
    Here is comparision[anandtech]

    Re: PC upgrade suggestions

Yes. The 560Ti is better than 6850. However for moderate gaming the 6850 would be more than suffice. Moreover, considering a FX with 560Ti, the power consumption would be about a 100-120W more than the i5 and 6850 combo, which frankly for me it quite significant. Also note that in that comparison, both the cards give you above 50fps with max settings at full HD on almost all games. Even with Crysis, the minimum fps for both cards remain around 30fps which shows that the 6850 would handle almost any game out there, with more than decent enough settings on full HD.

For an out-an-out enthusiast gaming system, the 560Ti would certainly be better. but for a more balanced and moderate gaming system, the i5 system with 6850 would be far better. (Frankly the FX would just pale in comparison to the i5)

    Re: PC upgrade suggestions

@gtx:i have only given OP another option because he don't look comfortable with a *amd* fx series cpu.

I think a i3+gtx 560 is a good option. A balanced rig that meet the requirement of OP and he can save some money also.
