Ah! You're big on SLI? How well have the 8600GTs scaled?

Re: Post your PC configurations here

Its been more than 4 years now and let me say it has done pretty good at @ 1440 x 900 but off late @ 1080i/p its not doing that good with games like Spec Ops the Line and Max Payne 3.Both the cards have blown off capacitors and giving on & off display issues, so the days are numbered! So have already bought myself a GF210 till the 6 series hits the shelves. I always believed in Sli ing two entry level cards and scale.there were and sometimes are issue with SLi but Nvidias driver support always helped .

Whats the limit you have hit with this processor after which it wont budge a MHz (and the voltages too) ?

3GHz is as far as it'll go. I'm running the stock cooler and I can see the temps going out of control if I cross it, that's what causing the stability. Ivy Bridge needs to be bolted on to my PC, I think you need one too :D

I guess Gods been kind to me this time atleast, I have done 3.6 GHz at 1.35v /1.4v but after that I could'nt even make it budge 1 Mhz ! I have heard people doing 3.8MHz with it but I couldnt! I have to check the screen shots...I forgot the Temps...but I guess they were reasonable. My this Chip E6750 can happily do 2 GHz at 1.072v (when Underclocked) !!! But will BOSD if played games for more than 15 mins!!! Otherwise great at low volts ,surfing, downloading watching non Hd movies etc etc.
