    PC not Turning on......

    after switching on the Main supply.....the Logo of Razer glows in my abyssus which is connected to the motherboard,but pressing the power button in the cabby doesn't do anything.....
    I have done the RAM check,Hard Disk check..there is no way my computer turns on....
    Then suddenly 2 days back....it turned on.....so i used it for 1 hour and it automatically turned off,and now its having the same problem.....
    With my conclusion i think
    1. Either my PSU went bad...since its showing the signs of it,but i don't have any means to check it.

    2.or my Motherboard's gone,since the Razer logo glows showing there is current coming to the Mobo..

    I am not able to detect,so guys please help me.....

    my Specs are..

    Proccy.= i7 2600k
    mobo = Gigabyte z68X-ud3R
    PSU = corsair TX650
    RAM = Corsair Dominator 4gb X2

    Re: PC not Turning on......

    Worst case scenario, it could be the power supply, but I'm guessing. I think it could be something simpler, so try the following, one by one -

    a. Power on the PC by shorting the two pins for power using a screw driver (could be just a faulty power-on button)
    b. Reset CMOS settings by shorting pins using the jumper, for the Clear CMOS
    c. Generally, press all the components to make sure there are no loose connections anywhere
    d. This bit is just for the sake of ruling out everything - unplug any sound or LAN cards or any other addon cards, besides the graphics card, try 1 RAM stick at a time, at different positions.

    If all this fails, borrow a PSU from somewhere and try it. Let me know how it goes.

    How did you do the memory/hard drive check if it didn't come on? Alternate rig? What's the specs on those dominators? Are you using the same cable provided with the power supply?

    I hope the PCIe power connector is not forced in the 8 pin connector. I've seen few people doing that and wonder why it doesn't work.

    I don't find anything wrong with the PSU. As per my experience there is some fault in your motherboard, You need to get it checked before the situation gets worse. and you dinn't mention about the smell...from where it is coming??
