Question Need suggestions for a mouse

My current 2.5year old Bluetooth mouse is showing it's age, becoming a pain to use it. Usage is typical browsing, coding and gaming - I don't play (too many) FPS, generally RPGs or max TPS so I don't need the hi-end stuff. Budget's Rs 1,500 - 2000.

This is what I'm looking at

Razer Abyssus Mirror Mouse | Mouse | Flipkart.com

(um Glossy look. It's going to fade out right?)

SteelSeries KINZU Optical Mouse | Mouse | Flipkart.com

    (seems a bit.. plain?)

    Logitech Optical Gaming Mouse G400 | Mouse | Flipkart.com

    Logitech G300 Gaming Mouse | Mouse | Flipkart.com

the G300 is what I'm looking at. Thoughts? Reccos?

Re: Need suggestions for a mouse

I prefer the plain and simple ones, with a slight bias to being curvaceous ball-like shapes that fit well in the palm of my hand.

So I'd go with the Logitech G400 (have some experience using it, and it's a pretty stock-standard no-nonsense mouse).

Re: Need suggestions for a mouse

Beware of Razer wired mouse. They say its of 2 years warranty but reality is that 1 year is covered by manufacturer. To avail the second year, you'll have to send a mail to Razer and follow instructions.

G400 gets another vote. You can take a look at M60 if you want to... Avoid mouse with dual sensors as of now. If you're a claw grip, Coolermaster spawn is something you can take a look at.

Thanks for the suggestions. M60 looks.. nice, but out of my budget. And yes Sorc, I do remember you had written about Razer's warranty thingy on your blog. Looks like the G400 it is. Thanks guys!

Re: Need suggestions for a mouse

    Hello guys,

Sorry to barge in on coolpcgys's thread, but i thought that this was the perfect place where I might find my solution.

I'm looking forward to but a new mouse for myself since my trusty 5 year old friend is lately having lot of USB connection issues.

My budget is somewhere around the Rs. 1500 - 1700 mark, however, if the product is exceptionally good, I may hit the Rs. 2000 mark but not beyond that.

Like coolpcguy i have went through a few which are as per my liking, but I'm well open to any and all suggestions you guys have. Of course, the Logitech G400 is on my list, along with that I find that Cooler Master CM Storm Xornet is also getting great reviews across most of the websites, but since Cooler Master is new in comparison to its competitors, it is not getting its deserved share of attention. Correct me if I'm wrong but I find Razor mice are not worth the money you pay for the product.

Please note that apart from gaming, i will be using the mouse also for regular use, like documents, photoshop, etc. so I'm looking for an all round mouse that fits my budget.

    Thanks in advance.
