Managing windows and desktop space on your desktop

So I got this massive 2560x1440 resolution display at home and I had heard about these window managers that would auto-tile windows. So I was found one called 'awesome' for Linux and I was looking one for Window. It's called Winsplit Revolution. It's old, but if you have a decent sized display (larger than 1280x1024 preferably), you'll find it useful. You can setup layouts and use keyboard shortcuts to snap them into place. I for one have my 3-4 IRC channels taking up 30% of the width on the left, with the remainder 70% on the right for my browser window. Worth checking out - Winsplit Revolution

    Example (from their site)

If you've tried some others already, do recommend!

WinSplit revolution is nice, but I haven't found tiling managers as usual as others have - probably because I don't have that kind of need. I bought Actual Multiple Monitors to make up for WIndows 7's quite poor Multi-monitor support, can't live without it. A taskbar in each monitor, programs open in different monitors are present in their own taskbar, lock mouse pointers in a specific monitor ( especially useful if a full screen app, typically games don't play well with multiple monitors, that what the mouse pointer doesn't go beyond the selected monitor & cause the game to minimize), easy shortcuts to send an app from one monitor to other and other sweet goodies.

On tiling managers, take a look at MaxTo.
