| In an exciting and long overdue development in HDD and storage technology, InPhase Technologies, a company focused on Holographic storage, has produced a medium capable of holding 515Gb of data per square inch which is more than the capacity of the highest density magnetic platters currently in production. This year seems to be a definitive year in terms of storage and media. With Blu-ray and HD-DVD expected to become mainstream, the arrival of Holographic storage will no doubt lead us in the path of some innovative and previously unimaginable ways of storing data. |
