| Google is on a roll. From WYSIWYG editors to financial products... they are doing it all and a lot of the development is done here. Therefore, it came to me as no surprise to learn that Google's latest offering, Google Financial, was developed in its lab in Bangalore. It was initially conceived by the team based here, as part of the 20% programme. Under this, employees are encouraged to spend 20% of office time into projects that are of interest to them. Hence, the Finance programme born in Bangalore was eventually developed to its status alongside the company's teams in New York and Mountain View. |
