Asus Releases Gaming Desktop

Asus looking to capture the burgeoning gaming PC market in India has released its ARES CG6155 desktop. This desktop seeks to combine an array of top-notch components to provide gamers with performance and stability. It sports a unique exterior design, which is inspired by ancient and modern armor with both Eastern and Western influences, and presents an aesthetic appeal.


The ARES CG6155 desktop boasts of an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 4TB of storage space. This powerful specification is complimented by two power supplies, 3-way SLI with GeForce GTX280s and an NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra board. The ARES CG6155 will be preloaded with Microsoft Vista Ultimate.

Pricing and availability is unknown as of right now.

WHOAAAAAAAAA.... Awesome specs..

Atleast 1.5 lakhs price. Won't be surprised if it crosses 2 with a 19" or 21" Gaming LCD with surround sound setup. Similar customized setup of the Dell XPS comes to 2 lakhs easy.

3-way GT280 SLI is kinda overkill,,especially since nVidia's drivers have problems going past normal 2-way SLI.

8GB of memory is fine,,but Asus will have to tell the users to setup Memory Remapping in the BIOS to allow Win Vista to use 8GB. In any case,,32bit Win Vista cannot use more than 3GB. So this HAS to be sold with 64-bit Vista.
