PSP 3000 in India This Month
By: Avinash Bali   |   Nov 11, 2008

At the PlayStation experience held in Mumbai this weekend Atindriya Bose, Country Manager for Sony Computer Entertainment announced that the PSP 3000 would hit Indian shores this November for Rs. 9,490.

The fantastic feature of PSP-3000 is its enhanced screen, an upgraded version of the already high-quality screen of the PSP Slim & Lite. The screen is engineered to produce a wide range of colors, delivering more definition. The anti-glare technology considerably reduces the glare caused by sunlight and harsh indoor lighting.

PSP-3000’s built-in microphone brings the PSP even closer to the forefront of cutting-edge communications technology. Users can say goodbye to microphone leads and head-pieces and can now simply speak into their PSP to communicate online – all that's needed is a Wi-Fi connection.

Shreyas @ Nov 25, 2008
You know what guys... if you had figured out the most important thing a gamer looks for in a game (which is gameplay with a capital G) then there wouldn't be any fight between the "casual" gamer and "hardcore" gamer.
Grim @ Nov 18, 2008
ha ha......
raghu's gone........ :-(
f-50 @ Nov 14, 2008
they don't appeal to me.. just because u consider them as hardcore games that doesn't mean everyone does.. everyone has different views, dont wanna waste my time anymore. Im done with this
Raghav B @ Nov 13, 2008
it seems raghav and shibtanu have different point of views on hardcore games. one is a sony fanboy and the other nintendo.....i think raghav started this with his 1st post...so raghu stop infuriating people ...
f-50 @ Nov 13, 2008
@ragHAV (B)
I think the definition of “hardcore” is the kinds of games that appeal to the most dedicated gamers. Most of these games are sophisticated, complex, mature-themed, long, and able to share through online multiplayer; usually a combination of all of them. Mario, Zelda, and Metroid are considered “hardcore” because of the description above.

@ ragHAV (b)
listen man, i know there is a huge outrage in the gaming industry that nintendo is abandoning the hardcore gaming market, with the wii and dey r even calling the ds wii's mini mii !!!!!.....but it caters to the hardcore gaming community as well......I think the definition of “hardcore” is the kinds of games that appeal to the most dedicated gamers. Most of these games are sophisticated, complex, mature-themed, long, and able to share through online multiplayer; usually a combination of all of them. Mario, Zelda, and Metroid are considered “hardcore” because of the description above. so if you don't call these hardcore games, i dont know what hardcore games are ..........
and you dont like virtual analog sticks, THIS MEANS YOU PREFER 1 STICK....AND YOU CALL YOURSELF "HARDCORE".
SHIBTANU @ Nov 13, 2008
I have been waiting for this new PSP since a long time. It would have been released and infact it has reached the shores of India. The problem is as per sources that the goods are stuck with customs as they are demanding more as per new dollar conversion rates and Sony is holding negotiations so that they do not have to increase the PSP price. Well God and we Gamers all wish them luck.
Mandeep Sahni @ Nov 12, 2008
@ shibantu
by talking about games like mario do you mean MODERN games ?
n about the touch screen i dont like to pat virtual dogs i have a real one..
i am a hardcore gamer thats y i dont like the ds n the wii. n if u like the ds i think uve never played ps2, ps1 or xbox360 probably uve resumed ur gaming after playing super mario bros 1 a decade ago.
i consider ds for casual gamers n if u own one then u shouldnt be checking this section out.

P.S - i dont like VIRTUAL analog sticks..
Raghav B @ Nov 12, 2008
@ RAGhav (b)
listen man abt dat analog stick thing....
- The DS has two screens, which will allow for very unique games. The touch screen can also play as a virtual analog stick or mouse.
-One of the screens is a touch screen. This allows for unthinkable innovation and we hope to have some truly revolutionary games.
nd as far as the games are concerned....
-The first party games of the DS are very strong. Games like Metroid Prime, Super Mario 64 x 4, and Animal Crossing will surely make the PSP jealous.
so shut up...do your research.......ha ha...
shibtanu @ Nov 12, 2008
i recommend nds only if u like pokemon games or ur age is < 13
Raghav B @ Nov 12, 2008
@shibtanu - man ur sayin only one analog stick is a deal breaker n ur recommending nintendo ds (wow) mate for ur kind info nintendo ds does not even have one analog stick..
n about modern games, do u think that nds would be able to handle graphics of MODERN games..
n for everyone who is looking forward to buy a psp, i suggest u all should wait as sony is going to launch pearl black psp 3000 in december n if it comes with a fixed screen buy it else buy the psp2000
Raghav B @ Nov 12, 2008
1) bad storage options
2) no 2nd analog stick. Shooters are clunky and require special manuvers to straif. No R2, R3, L2, or L3 is enough to make most modern games almost unplayable, but only one stick is a deal breaker.
i recommend the ds
shibtanu biswas @ Nov 12, 2008
people dont go for this one its a crap.its screen has many issues on top of that it cant be hacked yet so u may have to wait for long time...its a move by sony just to stop downgrading next time they should come with some major improvements to impress.
dark-instincts @ Nov 11, 2008
too early to say anything about it without fuctioning it.
bharat nagori @ Nov 11, 2008
As per some reviews the screen has some issues, lines come on the screen, and except the microphone facility and some minor cosmetic changes, there is nothing new to it.
Pab Mohan @ Nov 11, 2008
Tech2 please reveiw this model as soon as possible. :)
Preferably a comparitive one with the previous model.
DsT @ Nov 11, 2008
The PSP 3000 screen has some sort of hardware problem and on comparison the PSP 2000 screen is better....so anyone buying this do some search about it !!
Tushar @ Nov 11, 2008

max @ Nov 11, 2008
