Tech2.0 PS3 Contest Winner Announced!

After going through tons of answers (over 15,000), it gives me tremendous pleasure and immense relief to finally announce the winner of our Win a PS3 contest. I know there’ll be a lot of disappointed folk out there since the winner takes it all in this case, but I can assure you that there will be other contests in the near future, so don’t lose heart yet.

And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for... *drum roll*

The winner of Tech2’s Win a PS3 Contest is 23-year-old Arjun Ravi from Mumbai. Arjun, who by the way works as a writer for JAM, claims he’s been gaming for ever and currently owns a PS2 as well as a PSP (*cough* Sony fanboy *cough*). In addition to the 40 GB PS3, he’ll also win a copy of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune to help him get started with his HD gaming career.

Oh, and in case you guys are wondering, the correct code for this contest was: "Who needs the treasure of El Dorado when you have Drake's fortune."

Hey Arjun Ravi,

Congratulations on your spankin' new PS3 man, hope you enjoy it like mad.

I'm glad you have a PS2 though, since the 40GB PS3 doesn't have backward compatibility. :P Not that there are too many games releasing for the PS2 in the future, but you might wanna satiate your Metal Gear Pangs from time to time.

Stay legit with all your game purchases, and I'm sure that the gaming Gods (Kratos etc.) will bless you with a big ass HDTV too some day.

Keep gaming hard, and best of luck in general...

You know UV normally I wouldn't answer such a stupid question but seeing your passion I'm going to give it to you straight up. We decided the winner in the morning after which I mailed him, asked him for his Cell no AS WELL as his photograph and bio.

And this all was done in a matter of minutes.

Hope that clears out all your doubts.

What did you win BEFORE tech2's contest ? Why, nothing, because there wasn't anything to win yet.

What have you won AFTER tech2's contest ? Why, nothing.

Did you lose anything ? Nope. Then go get either a) girlfriend and kick video games or a) a real job and afford a PS3 yourself, you morons. The amount of outrage for an online contest which ALL of you knew only one person could win shows the sheer immature teenage-sense-of-entitlement-and-whiny mentality of the lot of you yelling bloody murder.

Stop sounding like losers and get a spine. And a sense of good-naturedness while you're at it.

Hey UV, I can sense that you're upset but here's what happened. We decided the winner in the morning and after that all I had to do was call him up and ask him for his details. Now you tell me, how much time would it take someone to send me a pic via email? Not much huh...

I know you're only 14 and feel the need to be really annoying but you need to understand that no one's forcing you to take part in these contests so if you do feel they are rigged, DO NOT take part in the next one. I'd rather have lesser people taking part in the next contest than a bunch of whiny little children who bitch and crib if they don't win.

Anyway, I know a lot of you may feel cheated but some one has to win and like I said earlier there are more contests coming soon so I suggest you just chill.

chill out guys i dont think it was preplanned or tech2 guys are cheating us........

but i think giving away just one ps3 is not fair...........after a such good response from participants they should awarded at least 15-20 ps3 and i don't think tech2 cant afford this much....

And yes think one more thing!!Result is declared at about 5:30 p.m right!So how come they contacted da peson so fast and got his photograph as well!!Does this guy has any work or not!!Or he was just sitting right in front of his Pc and waiting for the results to be declared.These contests are of now use!!

Don't think they can afford more than one PS3...If these contests are so popular, they give away a couple of prize instead of have just one winner.
